Required Information when reporting a problem:

winAllora

  1. Product and version number.
  2. License Key.
  3. If you have licensed the product, who you licensed the product through (distributor name or HiT Software).
  4. Windows operating system and version where jAllora is running.
  5. XML Trace File for winAllora.
  6. XML Mapping File.
  7. If using the winAllora Mapper, a winAllora Project File (filename extension is amp eg. myproject.amp).
  8. XML schema/DTD file.
  9. If unmarshalling, your XML input file.
  10. The ODBC/OLEDB driver you are using, its version and the UDL or connection parameters. Here is a link to all the drivers that we have currently tested and support.
  11. Database server and version.
  12. Database server operating system (OS/400, OS/390, AIX, Windows 2000, Solaris, Linux etc.) version for the system running your RDBMS.
  13. Other applications you are running if applicable.
  14. Error explanation (attach screenshots if possible).

How to Run a winAllora Trace File

  1. Launch winAllora Toolbox from Start -> Program ->HiT winAllora -> winAllora Toolbox.
  2. On the "trace" folder expand it.
  3. Double Click the Global Trace. A window pops up.
  4. On the Trace Level option Pull down choose 1-Trace. Then Click Ok.
  5. Don't close the Allora Toolbox.

Note: The File name of the trace file is: allora.trc
The default location is:
x:\Program Files\HiT Software\winAllora\logs\allora.trc.
