Secure Flexible Windows DB2/400 Access  

HiT ODBC/400 HiT ODBC/400 provides a secure, flexible Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface for Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation, and Windows 3.x applications to access DB2/400 databases. From a Windows application such as MS Access, MS Visual Basic, PowerBuilder and many others, ODBC/400 allows you to access, retrieve and modify data stored in DB2/400 libraries on the IBM AS/400.

HiT ODBC/400 uniquely provides multiple operation modes for security and flexibility, and includes a read-only driver to assure DB2/400 integrity. HiT ODBC/400 communicates with the native optimized DB2/400 server, DRDA server, or Transfer server for data source resolution, performance, and connectivity options. For additional application security, you can programmatically supply DB2/400 connection information, avoiding the creation of a data source that might be used by other applications.
