HiT OLEDB/DB2
Welcome to HiT OLEDB/DB2, Windows SQL middleware for access to IBM DB2 servers
running on z/OS and OS/390, VSE/VM, AIX, Solaris, Linux, OS/2, and Windows platforms. HiT OLEDB/DB2 runs
on Windows XP/2000/98 workstations and is used by custom or third party product applications. HiT OLEDB/DB2
accepts application SQL statements via ADO v2.x or directly via its OLE DB object properties and methods
to access, retrieve, and update DB2 data. All communication with the DB2 server can also be optionally
encrypted and authenticated via SSL with HiT SSL Server. Leveraging the IBM Distributed Relational
Database Architecture (DRDA) protocol standard, HiT OLEDB/DB2 uses native IBM server programs and does
not require any additional software running on the DB2 server.
