Database Connectivity for DB2 LUW
|
HiT JDBC/DB2 Overview
Welcome to HiT JDBC/DB2, Java SQL middleware
for access to IBM DB2 servers running on z/OS and OS/390, VSE/VM,
AIX, Solaris, Linux, OS/2, and Windows platforms. HiT JDBC/DB2 can be installed and deployed
on any operating system running JVM 1.02 or later, including DB2 and mainframe servers. HiT JDBC/DB2
is 100% Pure Java Type 4 middleware and can be accessed from JDK
1.1 and later environments to retrieve and update DB2 data. All
communication between the Java applications and the DB2 server can be optionally encrypted
and authenticated via SSL with
HiT
SSL Server. Leveraging the IBM Distributed Relational Database
Architecture (DRDA) protocol standard, HiT JDBC/DB2 uses native
IBM server programs and does not require any additional software
to run on the DB2 server.
