Joining Sun Microsystem’s MECA (MySQL Enterprise Connection Alliance) partner program as a Gold Partner, HiT Software offers a globally-supported product with advanced features to enterprise-class organizations that require large-scale data migration and real-time data replication between MySQL and other relational databases, including Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase.

DBMoto is the recommended solution for heterogeneous data replication and transformation requirements in an enterprise environment. Using a modern visual interface, intuitive wizards and easy-to-follow guides, DBMoto helps IT staff implement the toughest replications quickly and easily, without any programming required.

New to DBMoto, specifically for MySQL Enterprise subscribers, are:

• New transaction log-based support for MySQL database users. Enterprise subscribers replicating from MySQL will benefit from improved performance in Mirroring mode by setting up replications to use the MySQL transaction logs to identify changed data.
• Advanced data loading support for MySQL database users, where DBMoto now offers a special Bulk Insert capability, taking advantage of embedded MySQL functions. This new feature is expected to provide a performance improvement of up to 20% in initial data loads.

DBMoto offers three replication modes, “refresh,” “mirroring,” and “bi-directional synchronization.” For management and auditing, DBMoto provides real-time information on replication status, and records replication activity, performance, and errors into logs which are easily spotted and managed through a GUI viewer. DBMoto provides the ability to do large-scale group replications, reducing the overhead and stress on source and target databases by reducing the number of connections to perform multiple replications.
