HiT Software Releases Optimization Enhancements in
DBMoto™ 6.5 Data Replication Solution

Extends Support for Oracle Databases, Improves Data Replication Flexibility and Data Management Control

SAN JOSE, California, August 25, 2008 - HiT Software® Inc., a leader in data integration, synchronization and replication, today announced the release of DBMoto™ 6.5, the newest version of the company’s flagship real-time data management engine that replicates, migrates and synchronizes data among heterogeneous databases. DBMoto 6.5 offers new tools and enhanced optimizations for zero-administration, easy graphical configuration and high-velocity data migration, cutting time and effort in data integration tasks.

“Data replication projects can be complicated and require administrative expertise. Our objective is to have DBMoto reduce that complexity so that any IT manager or user can easily implement important projects. With our IBM and .NET standards-based connectivity technology, we provide reliability and peace of mind to IT managers who need to bridge legacy production data with business applications. The result is a huge benefit in focusing time on business-critical objectives rather than fine-tuning replication and synchronization procedures,” said Giacomo Lorenzin, president and CEO of HiT Software, Inc. “DBMoto 6.5 streamlines the process to manage large-scale data replication projects and yet requires only a small footprint at a reasonable investment.”

DBMoto 6.5 Features Provide Flexibility and Reduce Replication
Management Effort

  • DBMoto’s unique “grouping” feature designed to stack replication execution now includes a tool that automatically prioritizes replication order based on database relationships, applying referential integrity as dictated by the database. This key enhancement safeguards IT managers and users from data loss and potentially time-consuming recovery activities. Another new feature in grouping allows users to more quickly and easily recover from system interruptions by enabling replication restart at the point of interruption, avoiding a full-scale rerun.
  • High-performance log filtering has been added to help detect and isolate specific functions, resulting in improved user productivity during log searches and edits.
  • Adding more power to its heterogeneous database support, DBMoto 6.5 now includes functionality to increase the velocity of data migration to Oracle databases, reducing replication time.
  • Data mapping enhancements now include support for non-critical data exclusion, which allows the user to instruct DBMoto to bypass selected data in order to reduce replication load and processing time. DBMoto 6.5 also adds graphical directional arrows that map expressions as well as fields.
  • Users benefit from zero administration when establishing an initial replication. DBMoto 6.5 embeds new functionality to help automate this process and now includes a separate database specifically for metadata management.
